Welcome

Head's Welcome

I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to our brand new website.

The redesign is in response to suggestions from our very successful Ofsted inspection in 2016.  Following a review by governors we believe the new website will better meet the needs of our stakeholders and, of course, our fantastic pupils.

The new features on our site aim to make it even easier to access information, contact us and to celebrate the achievements and activities of our pupils even more.  Keep an eye on class pages, celebration pages and those all important dates and upcoming events.

Thank you for your continuing support and helping us make the difference.

Our Vision

TREDWORTH JUNIOR SCHOOL IS A PLACE WHERE:

  • Children and adults learn together
  • Learning and a love of learning is promoted
  • Our learning community are encouraged, by whatever means necessary, to be the best they can be.
  • We value each other
  • Excellence and enjoyment are key

School Values

At Tredworth Junior School we take very seriously our responsibility to prepare children for life in modern Britain. We ensure that the fundamental British Values are introduced, discussed and lived out through the philosophy of ‘Together we make the Difference’ and in relating our school values of Service, Respect, Honesty, Responsibility and Effort. All curriculum areas provide a vehicle for furthering understanding of these concepts and, in particular, our RE, SMSC, PSHE strands. Lessons provide opportunities to deepen and develop understanding. Children embrace these concepts and demonstrate understanding of their application to their own lives.

The school makes considerable efforts to ensure children have exposure to a wide experience beyond their local community during which these concepts are shown, through, for example, sporting events, residential visits and outdoor centres and through visiting speakers from other denominations and groups. We believe that this exposure gives our pupils opportunity to celebrate their own culture but also celebrating difference.
